Nick is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anthropology and the Huck Institute of Life Sciences at Penn State. He received his PhD in Anthropology from Stony Brook University and was a post-doctoral fellow in the Department of Human Evolutionary Biology at Harvard University. His research is focused on the evolution of the human musculoskeletal system with implications for modern health. This includes laboratory-based research on human locomotion, and field-based research on movement in natural environments. Nick’s research interests blend with his outside-of-work passions for long distance running and hiking, and he is also a serious movie and music lover.
